연구내용

식물바이러스학연구실(Molecular Plant Virology Lab)은 식물에 발생하는 바이러스병 방제를 목표로 유전체 빅데이터 분석 연구를 통한 식물과 바이러스간의 상호작용, 병발생 및 병저항성 기작, 바이러스-매개충-식물 상호작용등의 신호전달체계 기작을 분자생물학적•유전학적•생화학적 측면에서 연구하고 있다. 특히 바이러스병 저항성 품종 개발을 위한 바이러스 저항성 기작 및 유용유전자를 선발하여 바이러스에 대한 저항성단백질의 분자생화학적 특성을 규명하고 있다. 또한 최근 기후변화로 인한 외래 식물바이러스 출현 및 피해의 위기대응 방안으로 신종 식물바이러스 진단, 생리적 특성 규명 및 방제 연구도 진행하고 있다. 친환경 방법을 이용해 식물바이러스병 방제 연구도 진행하고자 한다.
