Objectives of Education
The development of industrial technology to improve the quality of human life has greatly increased energy demand worldwide. However, fossil fuel resources are expected to be exhausted within this century, and moreover, the use of fossil fuels has become a cause of serious environmental problems such as greenhouse gas emissions and toxicant generation. Reducing the use of fossil fuels is therefore of great importance to national security, the economy, and the environment.
Bioenergy has drawn attention as an eco-friendly and renewable energy source that can replace fossil fuels. Therefore, the Department of Bioenergy Science and Technology was established in 2010 to professionally provide scientific and technological knowledge on bioenergy production.
Our objectives in education are to provide students with a cutting-edge education system that expands learning opportunities, to teach them scientific and technological knowledge that provides economic and social benefits to agriculture and the environment, and to think about and solve on real problems together.
