Educational Objectives
The Department of biological Chemistry(BioChem) is named from the Department of Agricultural Chemistry that has been established in 1962. Biochem provides innovative basic and applied sciences for biological and chemical approached to agriculture, food, and the environment in Korea and around the world.
BioChem education programs focus on preparing future leaders of agriculture and life sciences and bio-industry through a multi-disciplinary approach based on applied science of biology and chemistry and an emphasis on experimental learning.
BioChem research activities for graduate studies, MS and pH.D.. involve a broad range of topics related to domestic and international interest, from safety analysis of agricultural and food product, bioenergy production technology, integrated management of plant pathogens and pest insects, plant and microorganism molecular biotechnology, functional bio-resource science to environmental toxicology and management.
